Donating your used tennis balls

What do you do with your used tennis balls?

"Teams4U are a charity based in Uganda and their vision is too ‘increase local capacity, to ignite social change, so children and communities can be respected and empowered’.

Their projects involve empowering girls and women through education and sexual and menstrual health, empowering communities through access to water, sanitation and hygiene, care for children in-care and the homeless and our popular shoebox gift appeal.

In October, this year I have the pleasure again of taking part on a 10-day trip to Uganda to help deliver their ‘Develop with Dignity programme’.

Another highlight of the trip is to be able to handout gifts to the children to include shoeboxes, full of goodies, clothes, and my favourite tennis balls! These children literally have nothing, so when witnessed for the 1st time the absolute joy something as simple as a tennis ball can bring to these children and the endless fun, I vowed to make it my mission to continue to collect and supply Teams4U with as many balls as I can for them to hand out on future trips. It’s such a privilege to witness what a phenomenal impact this programme has made and continues to make to the lives of these fabulous children and their smiles and gratitude is incredibly heart-warming."
